The Wages & Agreements Committee is responsible for the maintenance and revision of the contract between Manitoba Hydro and CUPE 998, including the approval/ concurrence of Letters of Understanding and other interim documents during the term of the agreement.

We also prepare proposed agreement changes and formulate negotiation proposals prior to the expiration of our contract.

Any issues relating to matters within the Collective Agreement or within the Labour Relations Act should be referred to the Committee for review and possible action.

Your Salary History

CUPE 998 members are requested to check their salary history, on myHR, on a regular basis. We ask that you do this to ensure you’re getting the pay increases that you are entitled to on the dates you should be getting them.

In particular, pay grades 22 and below should review their history to ensure they received 5% increase per Staff Bulletin #12/2006. To review bulletin on MPower, go to QuickLinks/ServiceAreas/ Human Resources/Staff Bulletins (Previous Years 2006 - 12/006).

If you find a discrepancy or are unsure of what your salary history indicates, please discuss it with your Manager/Supervisor or your Union Representative, whomever you are comfortable with.
