CUPE National Convention, Vancouver BC, October 31 to November 4, 2011

CUPE’s National convention is the union’s supreme decision-making body. Convention is held every two years. 5 members representing CUPE 998 participated fully in setting the union’s priorities, deciding policies and electing leaders. The 998 delegates were Mark Hadder, Arlene Macklem, Michelle Balina, Kelli Howell and Darryl Forbes. [read more]

CUPE Membership Dues Increase

As per Article 5 of the CUPE Constitution and 998 Executive approval, Membership Dues will be Increase $1.00 effective January 19, 2012.

Salaried employees will see the new $29.00 rate on their Jan 19th pay.

Hourly employees will not see the increase until Feb 2nd because they are paid two weeks behind.
